HUR 16X170FL Stainless Steel Filter Housing
The Harmsco Hurricane Swing Bolt HUR 16X170FL is a high-efficiency stainless steel filter housing engineered for demanding industrial, commercial, and municipal water filtration. It combines three technologies in one compact vessel — cyclonic separation, cartridge filtration, and Harmsco’s patented up-flow design — so dense solids are spun out before they ever reach the cartridge. The result is longer filter life, greater dirt-holding capacity, and lower maintenance and operating cost than a conventional filter housing.
The HUR 16X170FL is rated for flows up to 2,400 GPM at 150 PSI and is part of the six-size Hurricane Swing Bolt line that scales to 2,400 GPM. Every Hurricane stainless steel filter housing is NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61 certified for drinking water, built to ASME design standards, and offered in 304/304L, 316/316L, or Duplex stainless steel with an electro-polished finish. Flanged inlet and outlet connections, stainless steel standpipes, an O-ring housing seal, and the tool-light Swing Bolt closure keep cartridge changes fast and clean.
Because the Hurricane housing accepts the industry’s largest selection of NSF-certified cartridges — Polyester-Plus, Poly-Pleat, All-Poly, Carbon Block, SureSafe Antimicrobial, High-Temperature, Harmsco-Free, and EZ Clean — you can match micron rating and media precisely to your water chemistry. With HTM high-temperature cartridges, the housing operates up to 250°F (121°C).
