The Harmsco WBC 170SC-2 WaterBetter Band Clamp is a stainless steel residential water filter housing built on the patented up-flow design: water enters low and rises through a single high-capacity cartridge, releasing trapped air and loading the media evenly. The band-clamp closure opens without tools, making cartridge changes quick and clean for homeowners and service techs alike.
The WBC 170SC-2 handles flows up to 150 GPM at 150 PSI through 2″ NPT connections, standing 79″ in a 3.84 Sq. Ft footprint. It is built from electro-polished 304 stainless steel (316L available) with a CPVC standpipe standard (stainless optional), and a high-temperature configuration is available. Stainless construction means no cracked plastic sumps and a service life measured in decades, not seasons.
The WBC 170SC-2 residential water filter housing accepts Harmsco’s WaterBetter cartridge range — Polyester-Plus sediment, carbon for taste and odor, and high-temperature media — in a wide range of micron ratings for whole-home water quality.
