HUR 5X BAG SB Bag Filter Housing
The Harmsco HUR 5X BAG SB is a stainless steel bag filter housing that pairs Harmsco’s patented Hurricane up-flow design with high-capacity #2 filter bags for heavy-duty solids removal in industrial and commercial water. Because a filter bag holds far more dirt than a comparable cartridge, the HUR 5X BAG SB delivers long service intervals and low operating cost in applications where sediment would quickly blind a cartridge housing.
The HUR 5X BAG SB handles flows up to 1,000 GPM at 150 PSI using 5 #2 filter bags in a compact 7.6 Sq. Ft footprint. It is built from 304 or 316 stainless steel with an electro-polished finish, fabricated to ASME design standards (no U-stamp), and sealed with Harmsco’s tool-light Swing Bolt closure for fast, clean bag changes. XXP models are available for higher-pressure service up to 235 PSI.
The HUR 5X BAG SB accepts standard #2 and #2 extended-length filter bags across a wide range of micron ratings and media, so you can match filtration to your solids loading — from coarse pre-filtration to fine polishing. Filter bags are a cost-effective, high-dirt-capacity alternative to cartridges wherever the sediment load is heavy or variable.
The HUR 5X BAG SB bag filter housing is used for industrial process water, cooling-tower side-stream filtration, wastewater, pre-filtration ahead of membranes and RO, and any system with high or fluctuating solids.
