Hurricane SwingBolt Bag Filter Housings
Harmsco’s Hurricane SwingBolt housings are stainless steel bag filter housings that combine the patented Hurricane up-flow design with high-capacity #2 filter bags for industrial solids removal. Offered in 1, 3, 5, and 8-bag sizes covering flows up to 1,600 GPM, they hold far more dirt than cartridge housings — the economical choice wherever heavy or variable sediment would quickly blind a cartridge.
Every Hurricane SwingBolt bag housing is built from 304 or 316 stainless steel with an electro-polished finish, fabricated to ASME design standards (no U-stamp), and sealed with the tool-light Swing Bolt closure for fast bag changes. Standard models are rated to 150 PSI, with XXP models available to 235 PSI for higher-pressure service.
The line accepts standard #2 and #2 extended-length filter bags in a wide range of micron ratings and media, so you can match filtration precisely to your solids loading — from coarse pre-filtration to fine polishing — at a lower cost per pound of dirt removed than cartridges.
Hurricane SwingBolt bag filter housings serve industrial process water, cooling-tower side-stream filtration, wastewater, and pre-filtration ahead of membranes and RO. Their high dirt-holding capacity also makes them a practical roughing stage ahead of finer cartridge filtration.
