District Cooling Loop Filtration for Chilled and Condenser Water
Fouled loops waste energy. Harmsco district cooling loop filtration removes the rust, scale, sand and biological solids that coat heat-exchange surfaces, clog strainers and erode pump seals in chilled water and condenser circuits. Side-stream or full-flow, the patented Hurricane® up-flow design uses cyclonic separation to drop dense particles out before the cartridge — sustaining high flow with minimal pressure drop across the plant.
Data Center Cooling Filtration
Data center cooling tolerates zero surprises. Harmsco stainless housings filter condenser and process cooling water to protect plate exchangers, CRAH coils and spray systems, helping maintain design approach temperatures and PUE. Housings are rated to 150 PSI working pressure, built to ASME standards, with capacity from single-cartridge units to 2,400 GPM systems.
Plant Operator Benefits
- Restore heat-exchanger efficiency by keeping surfaces clean
- Side-stream filtration polishes the loop without interrupting service
- Cyclonic separation extends cartridge life in dirty makeup water
- Electropolished 316 stainless options for corrosive environments
- Made in the USA since 1958
District cooling loop filtration typically uses Hurricane® Swing Bolt multi-cartridge housings on condenser water with NSF-certified pleated cartridges selected for the loop’s particle profile.
