HP Hurricane Epoxy Coated Filter Housings

The Harmsco HP Hurricane COAT series is a line of carbon-steel epoxy coated filter housings finished with a tough fusion-bonded epoxy coating — an economical alternative to stainless steel for industrial and corrosive-duty filtration. Offered in 40, 90, and 170 sizes, each is built on Harmsco’s patented Hurricane platform, separating dense solids before the cartridge stage for longer cartridge life and lower operating cost.

Performance and construction

Every COAT housing is rated to 150 PSI, fabricated from carbon steel and finished with fusion-bonded epoxy that resists corrosion at a lower cost than stainless steel, with 2″ NPT inlet and outlet connections. The line shares the same vessel platform as the Hurricane HP stainless housings.

Cartridge options

COAT housings accept Harmsco’s full range of cartridges — Polyester-Plus, Poly-Pleat, All-Poly, Carbon Block, SureSafe Antimicrobial, and High-Temperature — so you can match micron rating and media to your process water.

Applications

Epoxy coated filter housings suit industrial process water, cooling water, ground water, and pre-filtration where a coated carbon-steel vessel is the economical choice over stainless steel. The coated build also makes the COAT series a cost-effective choice for OEM skids and packaged industrial systems on a budget.
