BF510 COAT High-Capacity Commercial Pool Filter
The Harmsco BF510 COAT BetterFilter is a high-capacity stainless steel commercial pool filter packing 510 square feet of filtration media into a single vessel. That enormous media area means long intervals between cleanings and stable flow even as the filter loads — while cartridge filtration polishes water to a clarity sand cannot match with zero backwash water.
The BF510 COAT is pressure rated to 50 PSI, NSF/ANSI/CAN 50 certified, and built in 304L stainless steel (316L options available) with a fusion-bonded epoxy coated version offered for harsher environments. NPT and flanged connection variants suit both new builds and retrofits.
A single vessel of this size replaces several smaller filters, cutting plumbing, valves, and the labor of servicing multiple units at once. The BF510 COAT commercial pool filter uses Harmsco’s high-capacity pool cartridges, cleanable and reusable season after season, with antimicrobial media options that inhibit bacterial growth within the filter itself.
BF510 and BF850 housings serve large commercial pools, water parks, and aquatic centers where sustained clarity at high turnover rates matters. Eliminating backwash also eliminates thousands of gallons of wasted heated, treated water every season, and the deep media bed keeps pressure drop low at peak bather loads, protecting pumps and holding energy use down between cleanings.
