BetterFilter Single Cartridge Marine Water Filters
Harmsco’s BetterFilter single-cartridge marine housings bring reusable-cartridge marine water filter performance to vessels and waterfront systems. The patented up-flow design eliminates trapped air — important in marine service — while one high-capacity cartridge polishes water with no backwash required, conserving fresh water where it is scarcest.
Each housing uses 2″ NPT 304L stainless steel inlet and outlet pipes, a strong PVC center tube for stability, and brass wing nuts that seal the cover without tools. The housings carry an NSF listing for commercial and public applications and shrug off the corrosion challenges of marine environments.
These marine water filter housings use Harmsco’s cleanable, reusable cartridge range — including SureSafe antimicrobial and SuperTuf marine media built for harsh duty. Cleaning is simple: rinse the element dockside, reinstall, and the housing is back in service in minutes, without the media replacement costs sand systems accumulate.
Single-cartridge marine housings serve yachts and workboats, marina systems, waterfront pools and spas, and coastal facilities where fresh water is precious and equipment must resist corrosion. Fresh water carried or made aboard is expensive, and recovering the water a sand filter would send overboard as backwash often pays for the housing within a single season of heavy use.
