Municipal Hurricane MP Water Filter Housings
Harmsco’s Municipal Hurricane MP series is a line of compact municipal water filter housings engineered for small drinking-water systems. Offered in three sizes (MUNI 40, 90, and 170 MP) covering flows up to 100 GPM, each is EPA LT2 compliant and uses Hurricane cyclonic up-flow separation ahead of the cartridge stage, delivering up to 3.6-log cyst reduction with certified cartridges — an economical route to compliance for small municipalities.
Every MP municipal water filter housing is rated to 150 PSI with 2″ NPT connections, built from 304 or 316 stainless steel with an electro-polished finish, and available in a high-temperature configuration. Compact single-cartridge vessels (1.0 to 3.7 square feet) install easily in small plants, pump houses, and well houses.
MP housings accept Harmsco’s NSF-certified cartridge range — including LT2-focused media for cyst reduction plus Polyester-Plus, Poly-Pleat, All-Poly, Carbon Block, and High-Temperature options — so operators can match micron rating and media to source water and compliance targets.
Municipal Hurricane MP housings serve small community drinking-water systems, well fields, spring sources, and EPA LT2 surface-water compliance projects. For rural districts, campgrounds, and small utilities, an MP municipal water filter housing delivers certified treatment without the cost or footprint of larger plant equipment. Harmsco has manufactured filtration products in the USA, in Riviera Beach, Florida, since 1958.
